The Camping site at Faxi has recently opened in the historical area of Biskupstungur, on the bank of the Tungufljót river and close to the Faxi waterfall. The site is in a quiet area, yet close to the main road and all services are close by. The view is wonderful and hiking routes are plentiful. Some 100 kilometres of paved roads lead are between Faxi and Reykjavík. Fishing is available in the Tungufljót river.
