The camping site is located next to the information centre in Hólmavík. At the Information Centre campers can sit down and relax, use the kitchen facilities, wash their clothes and then dry them in a dryer, use the WC, use the internet etc.
Only few steps away from the camping site you can go swimming in a brand new 25 m. outdoor swimming pool. There are also two hot tubs and a small pool for the younger ones. The camping site is only a few minutes away from public service like banks, post office and health care center. The N1 petrol station and the grocery store are just across the street. The Museum of Sorcery & Witchcraft is only 10 minutes away if you go walking.
Above the camping ground is the beginning of a walking path around Kálfanesborgir, the mountain above Hólmavík town. The highest part of the path gives an amazing view all over Steingrímsfjörður fjord and Húnaflói. This walking path is quite popular and many people, locals and tourists, walk it every day during the summer.
