The camping site is located in the small village of Laugarbakki, about 8 km from Hvammstangi town, by the guest house and convenient store: Bakki.
Laugarbakki is a young village with around 80 inhabitants and it lies close to the river Miðfjarðará. Laugarbakki is a geothermal site, which sustains not only this friendly village but also that of Hvammstangi.
