Sauðárkrókur is the biggest town in Skagafjörður fjord with about 3000 residents. The people in Sauðárkrókur make their living from fishing, varied industry and all kinds of service. There is a collage in Sauðárkrókur with about 500 students.
The camping site is located in the downtown area next to the swimmingpool.
