The camping site in Draflastadir has space for about 100 people and is suitable for one big group as it has one spacious area and from there are other smaller areas where it is possible to to have 2-3 tents, so that families can be by themselves. In connection with the camping site are toilets, showers and a hot pot. It is also possible to use the old barn, which has been changed into a big hall.
There is short distance from Sveitarsetrid to some of Iceland's most interseting places such as: Goðafoss, Mývatn, Dettifoss, Ásbyrgi, Aldeyjarfoss and Flateyjardalur. For travellers it's also interesting to take a look at Akureyri or go whale watching from Húsavík.
