The camping site is next to the local sports centre. A little pond with birds and ducks is at the site and the young ones can fish for small fish there. A golf course is 2 km away and fishing can be done either in the towns harbour, or in lake Ólafsfjörður. Fjarðará river also offers good fishing and permits can be bought. A Blues festival and the “Berry days” are festivals that people attend from all over the country.
