Surrounding the campsite is the beautiful grassy valley Breiðdalur, framed by a high mountain range that creates shelter for the panoramic landscape. Animal and bird life is quite diverse and versatile mountain trekking- and hiking- paths suitable for all types of nature lovers can be found throughout the area. In Breiðdalur you are only a short distance away from Iceland´s famous midland wilderness and the spectacular Snæfell mountain is only 3 hours away.
