The Fjalladýrð tourist service in Möðrudalur valley is located mid-way between Mývatn lake and the town of Egilsstaðir on road 901. The place is renowned for the beautiful view with the “Queen of Icelandic Mountains” in the central role, Herðubreið mountain. The camp site is equipped with all amenities for campers, whether you pitch a tent or if you have an RV. Hiking routes are many and they are all mapped and marked.

All Icelanders drink water from the tap. Some tourists say that there is strange smell of the water in some areas in Reykjavik but that is because of the piping put nothing unusual about that.
