Bjarteyjarsandur in Hvalfjörður is located by road No. 47, about 70 km from Reykjavík. Bjarteyjarsandur is a farm which also offers facilities for tourists. The farm is located by the sea and there is a beautiful beach, with possibility of mussel picking and bird watching. Interesting walking trails are in the area, for example to the magnificent waterfall Glymur.
The camping side is a well grown field below the farm, surrounded with trees and a garden. Next to it is a large hall with restrooms, cooking plate, tables and chairs. Fresh coffee included.
Agricultural products, such as eggs, are offered.
