Reykjavik Backpackers is a hostel located in the heart of Reykjavik City. Opening on June 1st 2009 we set our mind to doing our best providing all the services a traveler in Iceland might need. As well as offering good value accommodation in the city center we try to assist fellow travelers planning their holiday in Iceland no matter if their plan is to stay in Reykjavik, take daytours and adventures or travel around the country.
As well as offering a warm bed to sleep in we put our pride in our travel hub on the 1st floor of our facilities. It‘s the perfect spot to get assistance when planning your Iceland holiday and meeting new people and potential travel buddies when in Iceland! In our travel hub we offer additional services such as:

a) We advise about and book tours & adventures
b) We book domestic flights
c) We help you find and book a good deal on rental cars
d) We issue bus tickets and provide bus schedule info
e) Last but not least you can ask us about our city, Reykjavik – entertainment, sightseeing, restaurants, bars, accommodation, etc.

About the basics:
Reykjavik Backpackers offers 92 beds on three floors in it‘s house on Laugavegur 28. The rooms are mainly 4 and 6 bedded dorms but we also offer 2 bedded private rooms and 8 bedded dorms. All the rooms have shared bathroom facilities and showers which are conveniently located in the center of each floor allowing everybody an easy access. As well as the social facilities on the 1st floor of the building each floor has a small common area where you can relax, watch some TV or read a book. Security lockers are available on the 2nd and 3rd floor. There is 24 hour security in the building all year round and during summer time tour booking services are open 24 hours.
