Surviving Iceland

In the far east of Iceland located deep in Nordfjordur fjord is the town Neskaupstadur mostly known for fisheries and politics, however in recent years they have become known for something more than just the average small town shenanigans - their reputation has risen above the norm, up and away to the kigdom of rock and/or roll . We are off course referring to the legendary annual Eistnaflug Rock Festival (loosely translated "The soaring testicles rock festival"). This very popular event attracts heavy rockers and friends from all over Iceland and Europe for the soul purpose of coming together to socialize, drink, listen to some good rock music and play a storm!

There will be two camping sites open this weekend, one for families and the other for party animals ;) You can find information on the camping site here but also a map to show you where Neskaupstadur is located in Iceland. The camping site is free this weekend.
