On Sunday the second of November it was the last time Icelanders tasted the sweet Big Mac in their own country. The place was crowded by costumers of the world famous fast food restaurant and there was longest drive through seen since the place started here in Iceland many years ago.
The explanations of the owner of the franchise is that the imported food has been too expensive for the venture to be worth the while.
It seems that the world press is more shocked over this news than the fall of the icelandic bank system. Ok we can do with out banks but without Big Mac, those poor people.
But still we can make it. We still have
Búllan,
Hlöllabatar and
Nonnabiti. Icelandic original fast food restaurants that rock.
So good bye MacDonald’s see you later.
