Richard Hammond from the smash hit BBC motoring show Top Gear takes a look at the Icelandic driving sports. After an introduction to the typical up the sandy slope challenge that the special made Icelandic cars are used for each year. He looks at the special not so common sport of driving/floating over lakes. It has not been done since the “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” adventure but the Icelanders keep the musical alive in the Icelandic wilderness.
The purpose of driving over water has not yet been discovered but the adrenaline kick is a good enough reason for the Icelandic driver to take the test even though he’s putting his own limps and vehicle at risk.
