Today is the grand opening of Surviving Iceland. Congrats all!
The main purpose of this web site is to inform you, a possible fellow traveler, of various interesting facts that are convenient to know before embarking on a hopefully exciting and unforgettable adventure to our little island in the north. Wether you intend on taking advantage of the lively night life in Reykjavik, hitch hiking through the windy landscape of the south or chilling out in a geothermal pool this is the place to start reading up on everything that is relevant.
So feel free to browse through the information on the web site. All camping sites in Iceland can be found in an alphabetical list or by different areas of the country. The same can be said about bars and cafés.
The tips section gives information on various things on Icelandic culture, shopping, nature....anything of interest. Feel free to submit your own tip and you can add that way to the iformation database, helping future travelers such as yourself.
Please sign up to the Surviving Iceland community and give references to bars and camping sites. As a logged in user you can also enter the chat room where you can chat with fellow travelers and/or helpful locals.
I hope you'll enjoy your visit and I wish you good travels!
All suggestions are welcome, encouraged actually. So if you have any, or just want to tell me how great all of this is :) then feel free to contact me: info@survivingiceland.com
