Recent elections in Iceland

The elections where held last Saturday in Iceland with the Social Democratic Alliance and the Left-Green Movement recieving the majority of the votes. The conservative independant party took a major loss after 18 years in power.

This election is also historic due to the fact that 27 out of 63 MPs in parliament are women which is a higher percentage than ever before.
