Like all countries Iceland has its uniqueness. That something special that gives the visit to Iceland a different splendor than a visit to other countries. Not like it is better just that it is different.
Icelanders are totally ignorant of what is special about Iceland and what is not. That is best described by people that first get a foreign visitor. The foreign visitor finds the most ordinary things interesting but the Icelander is bored out of his mind.
So to market Iceland for foreign visitor there is no one better than a foreigner. Mr. Hal Linker came to Iceland in the 50’s to shoot a documentary for the American market. I showed out of the eyes of the foreign visitor what was interesting about Iceland and for that matter what was not.
