Drink from the tap

All Icelanders drink water from the tap. Some tourists say that there is strange smell of the water in some areas in Reykjavik but that is because of the piping put nothing unusual about that.

Selling water in grocery stores is only for the foreign tourist because Icelanders don’t usually buy water because it is free from the tap. In the country Icelander most often look for the nearest spring to have a drink, usually it pours out of every mountain.
